The city is also home to two of the most prestigious universities in the US: Harvard and MIT (the Massachusetts Institute of Technology). America's temple of baseball

Every American and baseball fan has heard of Fenway Park. This legendary baseball stadium dates back to 1912 and sits in the heart of Boston. It's the home field of the Boston Red Sox. The many statues of baseball legends, historic murals and vintage signage give Fenway Park a museum-like feel.

A hill in the city

The nicest part of Boston is Beacon Hill. The leafy trees, classic street lanterns and cobblestones lend this hill its old-fashioned charm. Narrow Acorn Street is still paved with stones from the early 19th century. Running along the foot of Beacon Hill, Charles Street is lined with antique shops, bookstores, small boutiques and cosy restaurants.
