It is often said that Minneapolis has the clubs and Saint Paul has the pubs. Which does about sum it up. Even though they are widely known as the inseparable Twin Cities, Minneapolis and Saint Paul are anything but identical and have their own unique character.

The city’s industrial character stems from the 19th century when Minneapolis was at the heart of the American milling industry – hence the nickname ‘Mill City’. Travel back in time at the Mill City Museum which is located in the oldest flour mill of Minneapolis, or visit the nearby hyper-modern Guthrie Theater, a more recent landmark on the Minneapolis skyline.
